This application note demonstrates HPTLC-MALDI-MS/MS analysis of lipid mixtures, a technique that provides additional structural information on headgroup and acyl chain composition and enables detailed assignment of lipid structures, even if mixtures are only partially resolved by the chromatographic separation.
