Application Note: 3-D Imaging of Cancer Cell Spheroids

Many cancer cell lines will form spheroids if cultured on a favorable three dimensional (3-D) matrix. The ability of in vivo Cell-able 3-D culture systems to produce human cancer cell spheroids of uniform size and the ability to screen spheroid response to treatment using automated high throughput, high content imaging is a significant step in facilitating more relevant testing of chemotherapeutic drug candidates.
