Application Note: Alcoholic Strength in Spirits Drinks

The %vol of ethylic alcohol in a spirit or liquor is derived from the fermentation of grain, fruit, or vegetables and can be measured by volume as the number of liters of ethanol contained in 100 liters of spirits,  measured at 20°C. In this application note, VELP Scientifica demonstrates alcoholic determination in spirits by steam distillation and measurement of distillate density.
