Thin Layer Chromatography

Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) is a fast, high resolution separation technique which uses a stationary phase of a thin layer of adsorbent. The sorbent is usually silica, cellulose or aluminium oxide. Also consider the choice of the mobile phase solvent, plates, imaging equipment and analysis software. Specialized TLC includes preparative TLC and HPTLC.
