Versatile and high precision instrument!
Application Area:Analyzing surface functional group by ATR
"The micro-ATR (Hyperion 2000) coupled with the Vertex 70 spectrometer provides a very versatile FTIR instrument with very high sensitivity and precision. We used to monitor the curing reaction of adhesive coating of 25micon thickness, the result was very accurate and correlate very well with the mechanical properties."

Not the best, too bulky and heavy, but high stability and sensitivity.
Application Area:Plastic processing
"Large range of accessories, high sensitivity, many functions for data treatments and easy support from the supplier. Easiness to compare spectra and perform qualitative analysis. Poor support for modelling and method development (must use another software as Essential-FTIR or Grams). "

"I use the Vertex 70. The ATR-probe is perfectly suited for a wide range of Biocatalytic, as well as chemocatalytic reactions. It has extremely user-friendly software (OPVS) for chemometric modelling."

"Bruker has been accomodating and helpful. The serive is great, especially for technical problems."
The VERTEX FTIR spectrometer series is built on a fully upgradeable optics platform that is designed with the utmost flexibility in mind.
The entry level research system VERTEX 70 utilizes the RockSolid interferometer, which is ideal for applications ranging from routine to research.
The VERTEX 80 is prepared for the most demanding research applications, and utilizes the UltraScan interferometer that offers high resolution, rapid and slow scanning, and superior performance over a very wide spectral range.
The vacuum versions of the VERTEX Series, the VERTEX 70v and VERTEX 80v, provide the ultimate rejection of interference from the laboratory environment.
