Excellent, cutting-edge nucleic acid diagnostics reagents.
Application Area:Basic research
"We are very happy to be working with TwistDx's TwistAmp Basic recombinase polymerase amplification kit. The system provides a unique, rapid-format, single-temperature alternative to PCR for amplification of target DNA for use in molecular diagnostics. The company has been very helpful in answering questions about their products and about helping us advance our research on rapid diagnostics of foodborne pathogens."

Can't use the results. Maybe the wrong application for these reagents.
Application Area:Isothermal PCR to detect single nucleotide polymorphisms
"The product did not work well for the application that I intended. However, it was unclear whether it was the enzyme cocktail or the primer design that was at fault. I was unable to get allele-specific amplification but rather got amplification of both alleles with each set of primers."
Manufacturer's ResponseHello Derek, this sounds like a primer design issue. We are always happy to assist our customers troubleshoot, and you can reach out to our experienced technical support team by completing an enquiry form on the contact menu of our website. Best regards, TwistDx

Great product. Quick and sensitive.
Application Area:Microbiology diagnostics
"Product is very easy to use. Straight forward and quick. Exactly what we needed. We are using this kit for on field diagnostic purposes and it works most of the time. This kit can be used in lots of interesting ways eg. sybrgreen incorporation to produce naked-eye visualization. We are satisfied with our purchase and would purchase again."

We use this item regularly in our R&D process
Application Area:R&D for small molecule sensor
"This kit is very popular with our scientists, and provides easy and effective testing of our samples. I cannot speak in detail, as I am the purchasing agent for our company for biochemistry consumables, but it is a regularly purchased 'hot item'."

Great results. Repackage to improve durability and use of individual reactions.
Application Area:Using RPA for nanoprobe testing.
"The product is good. However shipping to Australia was slow. Other downside is the 8 tube pack size. It means we have to perform minimum 8 reactions each time. Further, the reagents expire too quickly. For someone who is trailing a new technology, it is not feasible as the experimental process is slow. It may work best for diagnostic labs with lot of samples to test. However, for research/development, it is not feasible as many reactions are unused/lost."
Manufacturer's ResponseDear Nitin,Thank you for your review.
To allow RPA users the flexibility of running less than 8 reactions simultaneously our kits are supplied with a short-term storage (up to 2 weeks) tube for your part used strip of 0.2ml pellet tubes. If for any reason your kit did not include the storage tube, we would welcome you to please contact us so we can send one to you, orders@twistdx.co.uk. Our minimum kit shelf life is no less than 6 months, specific shelf life’s can however be requested (this may affect the kit lead time).
Kind Regards,
TwistDx

Simple-to-use, quick and effective results!
Application Area:Detection of virus in contaminated water samples, genotyping from serum/whole blood.
"I am able to achieve amplification in a much shorter time as compared to conventional PCR. The kits are easy to use, and customer service and technical support are always very helpful. Nonetheless, I guess it would be better to include more reactions (> 96) in a kit to maybe 200-500, which is similar to current PCR mastermix."

Easy to use, well documented, great support!
Application Area:DNA sequence detection
"We are in the initial phase of development with this RPA product, but so far results have been positive. As this is a new development, there have been many questions, but between multiple documents, with the product and on the website, and excellent tech support staff, (they actually return e-mails and call back) the experience has been great."
The Basic kit contains all enzymes and reagents necessary for the amplification of DNA – all that has to be supplied by the user are the primers and the template.
