"The MCR 102 is easy to use once you are able to set the parameters right and measure the most pertinent ones for your application. The MCR is sturdy, robust and the parts are corrosion free and easy to clean and handle. The software is supremely intuitive and a researcher who knows the subject will thoroughly enjoy working on it. The after-sales team is also great but there can be a lag in the revert on queries. The MCR is slightly more expensive than some of its peers considering that the AMC for the same is also not very cheap. But all in all, the operating expense is at a bare minimum."

Powerful instrument, alleviates project bottlenecks!

"Accurately measuring the viscosity of protein crystal slurries for subcutaneous injection has been challenging. Traditional U-tube viscometers require immense amounts of sample, while on the other end clogging of microcapillary viscometers is also a challenge. The MCR302 rheometer with a parallel plate setup requires about 200 uL of volume, and reproducibly measures the viscosity of our shear thinning samples over a wide shear rate. The pre- and post- sales care by Anton Paar's technical staff is second to none- they didn't just install the system and walk away. They are helping us develop methods specific to our unusual application and for that we are tremendously appreciative!"
