Description

Epoch™ Microplate Spectrophotometer is coupled with an innovative device like the new Take3™ Multi-Volume Plate, the result is a system that’s designed to allow the scientist to run a variety of assays, in a variety of sample vessels, and volume ranges.

As a system, Epoch and Take3 are ready to take on the challenges of today’s researchers:

- Save valuable sample by using Take3 to quantitate 2 μL volumes of DNA, RNA and proteins
- Monitor cell growth using the Epoch’s well scanning capability
- Run spectral scans of 2 μL samples, or samples contained in a microplate, standard cuvette or the patented BioCell quartz Cuvette
- Dial in individual wavelengths from 200 – 999 nm Perform rapid qualitative or quantitative analysis in microplates from 6- to 384-wells
- Measure kinetic rates of reaction
- Obtain quick 260/280 ratios in 2 μL samples or in a microplate
- Validate the miniaturization of your assay…from a full cuvette to a microplate to a microvolume…on one system
- Run multiplex assays quickly and easily
- Save space on the benchtop with its very small footprint - Avoid costly maintenance with the robust, thoughtfully engineered optics and hardware
- Never purchase costly absorbance filters
- All of these challenges and more are addressed with the Epoch Multi-Volume Spectrophotometer system... at a price that doesn’t challenge the budget. The system includes the Epoch Microplate Spectrophotometer with Gen5 Software and the Take3 Multi-Volume Plate with its own preprogrammed Gen5 module.

Application Area: UV-Vis Microplate Spectrophotometer
Epoch Multi-Volume Spectrophotometer System

"Epoch is a nice plate reader that can read microplates of various formats, up to 384 wells. It is a pretty robust instrument, we've had it for three years now with frequent use, hasn't needed any service. The instrument can do wavelength scans as well. Software (Gen5) is easy to use, and also very versatile. For example, you can do time course experiments, and can save frequently used protocols and experiments. You can select easily what cells to read and there is option for some data manipulation as well. Another useful feature of Gen5 is to export dataset to Excel with a single mouse click. It was quite a pricey instrument back then, more expensive than competitors, but in my experience it has been good value for the money because of the high reproducibility, wavelength accuracy, robustness and versatility of the instrument, as well as the nice features of the software. I'd recommend this instrument for any lab that needs a UV-Vis microplate reader."
