The cellZscope is a revolutionary system for measuring the impedance of barrier forming cell cultures grown on permeable membranes. It measures the transepithelial or transendothelial electrical impedance of cell layers under physiological conditions.
This computer-controlled system from nanoAnalytics allows automated, long-term experiments: Impedance based cell monitoring from short term tight junction dynamics to long-term layer formation. It provides valuable information on the barrier properties and the differentiation stage of cell layers by measuring their transepithelial electrical resistance and capacitance. It allows one to study compound mediated effects on endothelial and epithelial primary cells and cell lines.
Easy to operate with a wide range of possible applications, the cellZscope is ideal for studying the effect of drugs, toxins etc. on the barrier function of cell layers.
