"We use this microscope for all our histology needs, from H&E, to peroxidase immunohistochemistry, to immunofluorescence. It takes a little getting used to, but after you learn the ropes, setting up a program allows you to take images of sets of slides quickly. The program for IF will remind you to change the filter to the right wavelength for the color you want to see, and will automatically control the shutter to minimize exposure time of your samples. For H&E, the color correction and white balance allows for publication-quality images to be acquired without any need for color correction in another program. The service rep from Zeiss has been to the lab several times, to help us train new users and bring us a filter to demo before we bought it. So far, this seems like a pretty good value for the money, from a trusted name in microscopy."   |
