"This product is ideal for my applications, due to its portability, high reproducibility and reliability of its results. We use it in different equipment to perform photo and spectroelectrochemical measurements for which we couple it to other systems such as solar simulators, spectrometers and monochromators and its portability and high adaptability of the Nova software allows us to create current/potential programs for the application that we need. In addition, the post-sale service is excellent, they are always willing to help and advise us to obtain the maximum performance from each equipment, even years after the purchase."

"It is a very compact, portable electrochemical analyzer. All basic electrochemical techniques are on board and this equipment is sufficient for our needs. The current and potential ranges of this device as well. NOVA software in version 2.0 has already been significantly improved, so it can be operated in a short time by workers who have never worked with this device before. The device is very reliable and the overall support from Metrohm Czech Republic is exemplary. In general, I am satisfied with this instrument and I can only recommend it for small and medium-sized laboratories."

"The PGSTAT 101 product is efficient in terms of its use, many runs have been carried out on the equipment to obtain characterization data, and the results are fast, reproducible on a small and large scale aimed at the research area. We have entered both solutions and solid-state samples, and their versatility is impressive. In addition, the management of the software is simple, practical, and valuable. The essential information that new users should know is the cost-benefit ratio and the fact that in 8 years of using the equipment, two calibration services have been performed. The service staff from the beginning was always amicable and offered you a very detailed final report of the service performed."

Great, cheap, and easy-operation instrument

"I needed a small and cheap electrochemical instrument in my research group to enhance our research possibilities. I decided to buy the PGSTAT101. It has all the basic features that are necessary for any electrochemical analysis, e.g. DPV, SWV, CV. It is easy for operation; also non-professional can do the analysis since there are pre-programmed methods. The prize was quite low (in comparison with other instruments, especially LC, MS, etc.). Moreover, screen-printed electrodes (bare as well as modified) can be used, too. I like its simplicity. It was a great decision to buy it. We are using it in the lab permanently."

"The Autolab PGSTAT101 is a very reliable potentiostat that does many and various electrochemical measurements e.g., cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), square wave voltammetry (SWV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and many other analysis methods. The results are very reproducible, with easy-operated software. I have no issues in using it in two years, so I think it is a great instrument that is worth owning in any electrochemistry laboratory. Also, Metrohm is a leading company in the scientific instruments industry that provides excellent after-sale services, at least from our experience in Australia."

"The instrument is portable and easy to use. By working with it in the synthesis of nanoporous materials, I can achieve high reproducibility in each experiment as the team demonstrates a high control of the electrical signals necessary to promote electrochemical synthesis. I consider the highest evaluations since the service and attention after the purchase is good, the company gives support and answers questions, no matter how simple or complex they may be. The equipment is practical and I consider that its acquisition is worth it because it is a long-term investment to carry out day-to-day research."

The power of autolab in characterizing flow battery electrolytes

"Autolab PGSTAT 101, is a fairly robust and a complete equipment to develop applied and fundamental research. Experiments employing a wide variety of electrochemical characterization techniques in a same small electronic box can be carried out with this device; there is always a way of understanding the redox behavior of electroactive studied systems. As this equipment is durable and requires little maintenance; its purchase price is justified by the above commented advantages compared to other equipment’s designed for specific techniques. Likewise, the company constantly works on updating the handling software, which has managed to sell an equipment fairly simple of programing. This device, employing non-destructive characterization tools, has been fundamental for our group to study in a laboratory scale the reactivity of organic redox active electrolytes of new organic flow batteries. The thermodynamic and kinetic information of these energy storage devices can be reproducible and obtained with great precision using conventional cells, what makes this equipment essential to discriminate active redox compounds before investing in prototypes for its operation at pilot scale, minimizing research expenses. Of course, it is necessary to design a supported, clean, and fairly careful experimental analysis methodology, in order to maximize the benefits of this equipment. Finally, I want to highlight the high sensitivity of this equipment, which makes it unique."

"The potentiostat is amazing. It is possible to use the main voltametric/amperometric tecniques, but have some limitations, such as not being able to expand with additional modules. It is not suitable to work with high currents. The durability of the equipment is great. It is very robust."
