Merck Millipore: Error-free results with analytical quality assurance

With the Spectroquant® analysis system, Merck Millipore offers a comprehensive concept for Analytical Quality Assurance (AQA). This allows users to be sure at all times that laboratory processes are running within defined minimum margins of error from beginning to end, providing reliable measurement results. Merck Millipore's ammonium standard solutions for photometric applications have an expanded measurement uncertainty of no more than 0.012 mg/l. This makes the Spectroquant® analysis system a central and essential component in internal quality control (IQC) processes.

The Spectroquant® analysis system includes
• photometers with cell tests and reagent tests which can be identified by barcodes
• pre-diluted standard solutions in various concentrations for increased reliability requirements
• residue-free cleaning agents

Three-stage concept for internal controls
The instrument-supported AQA system combines three essential parts of quality control to ensure correct results using the Spectroquant® NOVA and Pharo photometers: In stage AQA 1, the photometer itself is monitored with certified color standards (Spectroquant® PhotoCheck).
In stage AQA 2, the entire system is checked either with certified multiparameter standards (Spectroquant® CombiCheck) or the standard solutions for photometric applications. Finally, AQA 3 offers users the option of monitoring the process for interferences in the sample. To complete everything there is also Spectroquant® PipeCheck for testing pipettes.
