The Direct Current, Electronically Commutated Motor (DC-ECM) provides the BSC its distinct energy saving characteristics. The motor operates at a constant airflow, increasing electrical efficiency, extending HEPA filter life, and lowers noise and vibration. The correct forward-curved fan improves motor efficiency, increases filter life, and lowers operational costs.
The HEPEX Zero-Leak Airflow System ensures cabinet performance, safety, eliminates the possibility of cabinet leaks and guarantees uniform airflow and filter loading.
The CellGard ES NU-480 ergonomic design maximizes user comfort and adjustability, with a 10 degree sloped frameless polished edge window for greater visibility and better sight lines, reducing eye fatigue, eliminating awkward posture, relieving arm, neck and shoulder strain; largest work-zone area available, wider armrests for additional forearm support. NuAire also offers a Motorized Base-stand, Ergonomic Chair, and Footrest to alleviate bodily strain and increase safety conditions. Optional Glass Side Walls allows better viewing for Teaching and Educational Labs.

Combination of high-quality equipment, proper procedures and appropriate cleaning aids, ensure a contamination free laboratory. The front hinged panel opens 30° for ease of manual cleaning inside the front window. Decon 101 - a unique method to inactivate, destroy and neutralize toxic and infectious agents. Activation of the system can be automatic using TouchLinkTM or done manually.
