Simple and Cost Effective Reaction Process Monitoring
23 Dec 2011Whether challenged by space constraints and/or complex installation requirements, ReactIR™ 247 from Mettler Toledo is a unique process-hardened FTIR spectrometer designed to fit into nearly any space without sacrificing the proven performance of ReactIR™ technology.
Designed for classified environments, it is engineered to be simple to use, highly compact, cost effective and have the overall performance required for reaction and process monitoring in kilo labs, pilot plants, hydrogenation labs and production facilities.
ReactIR™ 247 is a completely new approach to the use of FTIR for process monitoring. By reducing size and complexity whilst improving performance and robustness, ReactIR™ 247 is a technology that will transform FTIR based process monitoring. The system provides all the information that makes FTIR so valuable in process monitoring, including tracking reaction progress, reaction completion and process variance. With its compact size, robust design, superior performance and elimination of complex installation requirements (its sole requirement is power), ReactIR™ 247 is the long awaited simplified, cost effective FTIR process monitor for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Complementing the simple yet robust ReactIR™ 247 is the equally powerful and easy-to-use control software, iC Process™. Observe the progress of a batch or continuous process at a single glance. Integration with DCS is standard Modbus/OPC.
Sentinel™ technology ensures a direct means of measuring process chemistry via process loops and a wide array of hardened probes are available for applications where direct insertion into a reactor or vessel is required. ReactIR™ 247 attaches quickly to the reaction sampling technology, requires no alignment and is ready to measure in minutes. ReactIR™ 247 can be dedicated to specific process equipment or can be used for campaigning, moving from one location to another in minutes.
Sampling technology can be left in place and a single ReactIR™ 247 can be quickly moved from one analysis point to another. It simplifies FTIR process monitoring improving reliability and performance as well as cost and speed of implementation.
