Agilent Technologies Offers Grants for Research in Integrated Biology

Agilent Technologies Inc. today announced that it is accepting entries for two systems biology research grants, both intended to spur development of open source data-integration tools. Each grant will provide $75,000 to a single academic or non-profit research lab in 2011.

Grant 1:
Validating Protein Pathway Information – Integrating Proteomic Data with Transcriptomic or Metabolomic Datasets.

Grant 2: Modeling Disease Progression – Combining Gene Expression and Copy Number Variation Data.

The awards are open to principal investigators in foreign and domestic academic institutions and non-profit organizations. The submission deadline for these two grants is Aug. 12. Grant awards will be announced Sept. 30.
