Thermo Fisher Scientific Introduces Kit for Chromogenic Measurement of Endotoxins in Protein Samples

Thermo Fisher Scientific, today announced the availability of the Thermo Scientific Pierce LAL Chromogenic Endotoxin Quantitation Kit for the economical and sensitive measurement of endotoxins in protein, peptide or antibody samples. The presence of endotoxins in protein samples can impair downstream analyses and uses.

The Pierce® LAL Chromogenic Endotoxin Quantitation Kit supplies the reagents necessary to generate standard curves and perform endotoxin assays on samples. Reactions are complete in 30 minutes and require only a small volume of diluted protein sample. Absorbance measurements are read at 405 to 410 nanometers using a standard 96-well plate reader. The Pierce LAL Chromogenic Endotoxin Quantitation Kit detects between 0.1 to 1 endotoxin unit per milliliter. The Pierce LAL Chromogenic Endotoxin Quantitation Kit can be used in conjunction with the Thermo Scientific Detoxi-Gel Endotoxin Removal Gel and Pierce High Capacity Endotoxin Removal Resin.
