Agilent Announces SPE/MS/MS Breakfast Meeting at AACC
02 Jul 2013

Agilent has announced that it is to hold a breakfast meeting at AACC 2013 entitled ‘Rapid Qualitative and Quantitative Urine Drug Analysis Without Chromatography’. The meeting will be held on Wednesday July 31st, 2013 from 7am-8am.

Attendees will learn how to greatly increase the productivity of MS-based analyses in the clinical forensic toxicology laboratory by utilizing ultrafast SPE/MS/MS technology. Agilent’s RapidFire High-throughput Mass Spectrometry System is capable of qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological samples in less than 15 seconds - a greater than 10-fold increase in sample analysis time compared to traditional LC/MS/MS methods.

Comparative data will be presented from blinded human urine samples containing opioids and other drugs of abuse analyzed using SPE/MS/MS and LC/MS/MS. It was found that the same urine samples analyzed with each MS-platform produced results that corresponded well within statistical limitations.
