PharmaDiscovery 2006 will align its objectives with the FDA's recent white paper "Innovation or Stagnation: Challenge and Opportunity on the Critical Path to New Medicinal Products", and address "the Impact of Innovation in Drug Discovery and Development".  The conference and supporting exhibition is designed to maximize networking opportunities amongst industry leaders as well as attendees representing the FDA, NIH, academia and developers and suppliers of critical technologies.

PharmaDiscovery is organized by Elsevier's Drug Discovery Today journal and an eminent Scientific Leadership Committee.  The inaugural conference attracted over 300 scientific leaders from pharma, biotech and academia and introduced a new and highly successful discussion-based conference model including interactive sessions, which engendered and forced debate between delegates and speakers on critical issues affecting drug discovery and development.  Daily sum-up sessions also disseminated the scientific knowledge from each session back to the entire audience for further debate.
