Profiling and Quantitation of Metabolomic 'Signatures' for Breast Cancer Cell Progression

Metabolic reprogramming is required both during the initial breast cancer transformation process (primary tumor) and during the acquisition of metastatic potential (metastases). Staging of the metabolic reprogramming using metabolomics, could pinpoint metabolic processes essential for transformation and invasiveness and has the potential to yield biomarkers and new directions for therapeutics. This application note presents a study of combining targeted and untargeted approach for cancer biomarkers analysis.
