Optimize ICP-MS and LC-MS/MS Environmental Analysis by Choosing the Right Source of High Purity Water

High purity water plays a critical role in environmental laboratories that measure trace levels of elements by ICP-MS and very low levels of polar compounds by LC-MS/MS. This paper presents data that demonstrates consistently low levels of heavy metal elements by ICP-MS in Milli-Q® water over a 22-month monitoring period. It also shows results from LC-MS/MS experiments that demonstrate the efficiency of Milli-Q® at removing both hormones and pesticides that had found their way into tap water.
