Toxic Analyses of Biological Samples to Determine Environmental Quality
15 Mar 2013

Animals and plants are reliable indicators of the environmental quality. Therefore, one of the most important tasks of environmental laboratories is the toxic analysis of biological samples. This application note demonstrates how RETSCH mills ZM 200 and MM 301 are both highly suitable for cryogenic grinding as they allow for the gentle and efficient pulverization of the sample material. Examples of the determination of mercury content on tuna and preparation of a leopard frog to test for toxic substances are presented.
