The Use of Acumen®eX3 for the Identification of the Roles of Protein Kinase C α and δ Isoforms in PMA-induced HB-EGF Ectodomain Shedding

This application note discusses a study recently published by Kveiborg et al., which used immunofluorescent labelling in combination with traditional spectrophotometric methods to enable a more detailed understanding of the pathways involved in EGFR signalling pathways and the shedding of EFGR ligands. Acumen’s powerful image analysis capabilities are employed for the analysis of PMA-induced HB-EGF shedding and the effect of PKC inhibitors and RNAi mediated knockdown on HB-EGF expression.
