Prostate Cancer Misdiagnosis Identified by DNA Specimen Provenance Assignment Testing

When Patient A’s two positive prostate tissue samples were received for testing, it was discovered that the samples did not match the DNA reference sample collected via cheek swab, which was received at the same time. This case study describes the additional testing that was conducted to investigate the discrepancy.
