PALM MicroBeam - drawing a line around cancer

A case study on the use of the PALM MicroBeam laser microdissection workstation in the study of cancer - Prof. Stephen Bustin and Dr. Shu Rui-Li of the Bowel and Cancer Research Laboratory, Royal London Hospital utilise the unique laser technology incorporated in the PALM MicroBeam to isolate, recover and compare single cells from the tumour and normal tissue without any mechanical intervention, thus eliminating the possibility of cross contamination and guaranteeing cell population purity.
