The determination of the enzyme kinetic parameters for newly discovered proteins is an important procedure in cellular and molecular biology. This application note describes the use of kinetic reading for the analysis of the bacterial enzyme, ß-galactosidase, using o-nitrophenol-ß-D-galactoside (ONPG) as the substrate.
