Increased Laboratory Productivity for CHO Cell Antibody Production Using Scalable Transient Gene Expression
16 Nov 2012

As an alternative to stable cell line production for early stage antibody development, researchers have turned to transient transfection of HEK cells. Migration from a HEK to CHO cell background during later stage development can lead to delays in time lines due to alterations in antibody post translational modifications. This application note demonstrates how the MaxCyte STX and MaxCyte VLX transfection systems enable rapid, highly efficient transient transfection of CHO cells for use in antibody production. The MaxCyte STX Scalable Transfection System uses a novel flow electroporation technology for large scale transient gene expression directly into CHO cells.
