In the drug discovery process, information about the extent of metabolism and the elucidation of metabolite structures is a vital step because it is used in lead optimization. This study demonstrates how a number of metabolites found in an incubation of Verapamil were determined using two different approaches; the traditional MRM-IDA analysis and the new more comprehensive predictive MRM-IDA method generated by LightSight™ software version 2.0.
