High Speed Droplet UV/VIS Quantification of Native Proteins in Biopharmaceutical Processing
19 Nov 2012

Biopharmaceuticals are mainly produced by microbial fermentation or in animal cell cultures. As a consequence, a cascade of procedures including purification and characterization are required throughout the processing chain to obtain protein at the desired level of purity and potency. In this application note the reliability and performance of the Trinean DropSense 96® droplet plate reader in combination with microfluidics DropPlate-D+ for protein quantification is demonstrated. With its dual-cuvette defining optical path lengths of 0.7 and 0.1 mm respectively, the DropPlate-D+ offers an unprecedented dynamic range, fit to cover the wide range of concentrations that are encountered during the whole production optimization of biopharmaceuticals.
