Determining the Amount of Bound Water in Self-Adsorbed Polymer Layers on Different Surfaces by Combination of SPR and QCM
8 Mar 2013

This application note demonstrates that a combination of SPR and QMC can be used to measure the amount of bound water in interfacial layers. The same type of experiments can be used to estimate the kinetics of adsorption. Insight into the hydration of interfacial layers helps in the understanding of the structure-property relationship of the layers, and can lead to future improvements in nanofabrication methods and nanofrabricated coatings.
