Determination of Hexavalent Chromium in Drinking Water Using Ion Chromatography
13 Jan 2012

Hexavalent chromium, Cr(VI) is a primary drinking water contaminant. Dissolved hexavalent chromium can be determined by ion chromatography in drinking water, groundwater, and industrial wastewater effluents. This application note describes a method that increases sensitivity over the existing methods. The modifications include lower eluent and postcolumn reagent (PCR) flow rates, a larger reaction coil, and a larger injection volume.
