Determination of Chemical Contaminants in Marine Shellfish using the Agilent 7000 Triple Quadrupole GC/MS System

In this application note a sample preparation method based on a modified QuEChERS extraction along with a GC/MS/MS method for the determination of selected Organo-chlorine pesticides, Polyaromatic hydrocarbons and Polychlorinated biphenyl congeners is described. This method demonstrates good reducibility and recoveries were in the range of 85.4% - 123.9% for all analytes in marine shellfish tissue.
