Colour Coded Fluorescent Imaging in Mice Using the iBox® Scientia™ Small Animal Imaging System
18 May 2011

This application note by UVP demonstrates rapid and simple tracking of primary and metastatic cancer development in nude mice using fluorescent protein imaging. Orthotopically implanted human pancreatic cancer cells expressing red fluorescent protein (RFP), in cyan fluorescent protein (CFP) nude mice models, were tracked and imaged in the whole animal and isolated pancreas. In addition, multi-colour image analysis of dual GFP (nucleus) and RFP (cytoplasm) expressing pancreatic cancer cells in a CFP mouse was carried out.
