Biodistribution Monitoring Using the iBox Explorer2 Imaging Microscope

4 Apr 2013

The iBox Explorer2 from UVP is an ideal system for imaging distribution of fluorescent markers within small animals for pre-clinical experimental protocols. In this application note a biodistribution study, using a near infrared (NIR) dye conjugated to an antibody, is presented to highlight the capabilities of whole animal imaging. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis reveals a predilection of conjugate accumulation within the liver, sites of trauma and neck lymph nodes of a nude, non-tumor bearing mouse. Such data show possible mechanisms for uptake of dye and can form the foundation for future biodistribution studies.
