Anti-Inflammatory Effects of MLK on Eosinophil Adhesion
31 Oct 2012

Eosinophils are key pro-inflammatory cells in the asthmatic lung. Eosinophil adhesion and transmigration through the endothelial cells lining the post-capillary venules are key events in their accumulation in the asthmatic lung. This application note presents a method using Cellix’s biochips and Mirus pumping system, to investigate eosinophil adhesion to rhVCAM-1 and the novel anti-inflammatory effects of Montelukast (MLK) on the adhesion profile of non-stimulated and GM-CSF-stimulated eosinophils.
