Dr. Daniel Martin: Xtreme Everest Research at MRC-NIHR Phenome Centre

Dr. Daniel Martin, Senior Professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care at UCL and Expedition Leader of the Xtreme Everest project, explains how the new MRC-NIHR Phenome Centre will his facilitate research. The team is investigating human adaptation to hypoxia at high altitude, moving a step closer towards developing novel treatments for critically ill patients suffering a similar challenge at sea level.
