Serovar Identification of Foodborne Pathogens
25 Sep 2012

This seminar discusses the use of multiplex PCR and the use of the Bioanalyzer to detect discreet amplicons from parts of the genome that code for the enzymes that produce the structures responsible for the traditional antibody serotypes. This method permits the serogroup and serovar for a number of Salmonella to be determined in hours. Other applications of this same technique will also be discussed.
