DNA Microanmodirrays on Unmodified Polymer Supports Using sciPOLY3D - Comparison of sciPOLY3D and Epoxy-Functionalized Supports

Immobilization chemistry normally constrains the choice of platform and substrate material. Most conventional immobilization chemistries rely on surface functionalization of the whole substrate with e.g. carboxy or epoxy moieties. This application note demonstrates how by using sciPOLY3D, all polymers can be furnished with microarrays without pre-treatment. It concludes that sciPOLY3D can enable covalent and robust immobilization of unmodified DNA oligonucleotides for multiplex detection of RNA and DNA analytes, without the need for wet chemistry steps.
