Influence of Water Content on the Processability of Polyesters

The presence of water in plastics has a substantial influence on the quality and processability of the end products, particularly in the consumer sector. Therefore, quality control procedures are required that allow for simple and fast determination of the water content. This application note demonstrates the use of the Berghof Easy H2O one water determination system, which combines the thermal evaporation of water with a selective electrochemical water sensor to easily determine water content in plastics.
