Direct Detection of Illegal Additives in Red Wine Using MALDI-FTMS
28 Nov 2014

Regulated chemical dyes such as safranin and fuchsin, as well as toxic alkaloids like strychnine, are harmful to human health. By coupling the rapid analysis of MALDI with Bruker’s solariX FT-ICR MS, this study describes a MALDI-CASI-FTMS based rapid screening technique that provides fast, simple and robust detection, together with ultradefinitive accurate mass confidence.
