Thermo Scientific Reacti-Therm Heating and Stirring Modules

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Description

Dry block heating units for GC and HPLC derivatization reactions.

Thermo Scientific Reacti-Therm Modules are reliable and easy-to-use dry block heater that provide constant temperature control (ambient plus 10°C to 200°C) for test tubes, vials and glassware of various sizes. The modules are ideal for performing heating, stirring and evaporating functions that are required for sample derivatization before analysis by gas chromatography (GC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and other applications. The four models of Reacti-Therm Units have a modular design with interchangeable accessories that enable adaptation to a variety of vial types and sizes, heating, stirring and evaporating needs.

Each of the two sizes of Reacti-Therm Modules contain a generalized recessed cavity that holds one or three interchangeable Reacti-Block Aluminum Blocks, which provide different formats (number and size) of wells to accommodate a variety of Reacti-Vial Small Reaction Vials, test tubes and other glassware. Two models of Reacti-Therm Modules have stirring function capability when Reacti-Vial Magnetic Stirrers (magnetic stir bars) are inserted into each Reacti-Vial Small Reaction Vial placed in the appropriate aluminum block. Sample evaporation is possible if a corresponding Reacti-Vap Evaporator is attached to the Reacti-Therm Module; when connected to a supply of nitrogen or argon gas, the evaporator manifold ensures accurate flow of gas onto vials placed in the aluminum block.
