The MP DNA 5´-End Labeling Kit is a complete system for simple and rapid labeling of both DNA fragments and synthetic nucleotides. T4 polynucleotide kinase catalyzes the transfer of the γ-phosphate of [γ-32P]-ATP to the 5´-end of DNA or oligonucleotide. DNA fragments may be kinased with a radioactive phosphate by exchange reaction or may be dephosphorylated with alkaline phosphatase and end-labeled by direct reaction. The kit features optimized buffers for labeling 5´-protruding, blunt and 3´-protruding DNA ends. The kit allows for up 106-107 dpm/pmol labeled ends of DNA with 32P. The kit contents includes:
