The new SFC instrument that merges analytical and preparative chromatography.
Like Thar's other "green chemistry" instruments, the SuperDiscovery "FC" (Fractionation Capabilities) model helps scientists save money, time and solvent waste by using CO2 in the primary mobile phase as a substitute for hexane or heptane.
Furthermore, the FC units give the user the flexibility to separate mixtures analytically with the added advantage of collection when required.
The instrument is an improvement on others because it allows the user to separate into up to 12 vials of various volumes and/or dimensions.
Thar recommends the use of standard analytical columns or 1 cm columns for semi-preparative runs.
