Description
The SpectraMax® M4 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader dual monochromator optics allow the widest range of applications without the need to change filters and delivers single-mode performance in one multi-mode platform with the following detection modes: UV-Visible Absorbance (Abs) Fluorescence Intensity (FI) Glow Luminescence (Lumi) Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF) The SpectraMax M4 Microplate Reader is the standard for UV/visible multi-mode reader absorbance, providing ultrafast, full spectral range detection for cuvettes, 96-, and 384-well microplates. Using the patented PathCheck® Pathlength Measurement Technology, the SpectraMax M4 Microplate Reader transforms each well in a microplate to a fixed optical pathlength cuvette and can eliminate standard curves by allowing the calculation of concentrations directly from the absorbance with a known extinction coefficient, as exemplified with nucleic acid and protein quantitation.

"The plate reader software isn't that user friendly, but it's easy enough to figure out with a little tinkering. It may be the way our default program loads, but I find it sometimes annoying to navigate when creating new programs. However, the performance and variety of reading types is great. I didn't provide a star rating for the after sales service because I've never had to call the company. Plus I'm pretty sure some of the older grad students had voided any warranty with their antics a few years ago. I'm not sure how much the plate reader was as I wasn't around for the purchasing, but I'm sure our advisor went with the best value." |
