Application Area: Use for air sensitive synthetic chemistry, in combination with a vacuum manifold (Schlenk line)
"In our lab, we have 2 RZ6 rotary vane pumps from Vacuubrand that we use for air sensitive synthetic chemistry (synthesis of catalysts etc) in combination with a dual argon/vacuum manifold. Those pumps provide a rapid and very high vacuum (10-3 mbar) even with gas ballast (lower than 1.10-1 mbar) and an excellent pumping capacity that make them very efficient for our applications: degasing of solvents, working under air-free conditions etc. Furthermore, they are very quiet, with low vibrations, which is ideal for prolonged use (around 5 hours every day). We particular recommend their use with the dedicated oil mist filter and shut valve VS 16. After 2 years of intense running with solvents, there is absolutely no sign of corrosion or loss of performances. They are finally very easy to use and to service, and cheaper than the competition (Edwards), so basically the best value rotary vane pump on the market. "
