Description
The QCS range of Priorclave autoclaves is one of the most versatile and cost efficient steam sterilisers available and ideally suited to in-house clinical laboratory applications and probably more importantly for ‘contract-out’ laboratories where the scale of items to be sterilised will vary significantly. Choosing from one of the three standard chamber sizes of 100, 150 and 200 litres, a laboratory can cater for virtually all of its daily throughput with a relatively inexpensive Priorclave since they offer 20% more loading capacity than sterilisers of the same capacity. This gives the QCS range the flexibility to accommodate both small and taller than usual items, avoiding the need to invest in larger, heavier and more costly rectangular sterilisers.
Standard QCS front-loading autoclaves are electrically heated delivering temperatures up to 140oC at 2.4 bar and easy to operate through the Tactrol 2 microprocessor control system. Easy to set controls allow adjustment of temperature and time as well as providing staged illumination cycle status. From simple cycles to fully featured multi-programme operation with printed records, this powerful controller allows unrivalled flexibility and monitoring. For a busy working environment, automating the sterilising process and with features to assist in autoclave management, TACTROL2 enables other tasks to be undertaken secure in the knowledge that sterilisation is proceeding safely and efficiently.
All models in the entire QCS range feature the Quickseal door for easy, single handed closure and which is equipped with thermal and pressure locks preventing accidental opening of the autoclave at load temperatures above 80oC and pressures above 0.2 Bar. Safety is paramount therefore when opening the autoclave the special door gate mechanism cracks the gasket seal allowing any residual pressure to safely escape before fully opening the door.
Owing to the critical nature of operating within a clinical laboratory in sterilising media preparation, liquids and diluent, waste, glassware, instruments, apparatus, etc., all Priorclaves have a unique anti-bacterial epoxy coating that protects against cross-contamination and is effective against the growth of all bacteria and fungi including MRSA.
Introducing any Priorclave QCS model to any laboratory will enable it to improve throughput brought about by the increased loading capacity and performance, as well as benefiting from lower overall running costs.
