PDQuest 2-D software for Mac and PC is the world's leading package for analysis and databasing of 2-D gels, with over 100 published references to its credit. Bio-Rad PDQuest 2-D software is specifically designed for laboratories that analyze many gels at once. The database query engine provides the most powerful and helpful 2-D analysis tools on the market. You can perform sophisticated queries to show subtle differences among gels being analyzed (for example, effect of heat shock, growth media, dose-response, and time course).

Bio-Rad PDQuest 2D is fully integrated with Bio-Rad's ProteomeWorks system for proteome discovery research, offering solutions to bottlenecks in sample tracking, data assimilation, and protein identification and characterization. PDQuest controls the spot cutter excision robot and also tracks samples and data through mass spectrometric protein identification. Automatic importation of protein identification results from Micromass mass spectrometers is coupled to superior annotation flexibility that includes URL links, file links, and extensive rich-text comment capability. These powerful annotation tools make Bio-Rad PDQuest the tool of choice for establishing a centralized information repository linked to each spot on a master gel image. Users can easily view and share information associated with identified proteins. Direct integration with our WorksBase bioinformatics package for proteomics allows gel images and virtually any supporting protein identification data to be stored and accessed using this open-schema, proprietary relational database.
