"The MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer and its related MALDI Biotyper software are perfectly applicable to all clinical microbiology and food-feed safety field. The sample preparation time is minimal at around 2 minutes and the identification process is also very quick. Using the MALDI-TOF instrument reduces costs in the microbiological laboratory and speeds up the classical microbiological workflow. This combination, instrument and the software, is a very effective tool in the hands of microbiologists."
