Description
The mystery has been solved: Real-life personal centrifuges of an out-of-this-world quality really do exist. Eppendorf, the world's number one for microcentrifuges, has opened up a new dimension for personal centrifuges, in the form of MiniSpin® and MiniSpin plus®.
With a futuristic exterior home to safe, reliable and durable technology, Eppendorf has managed to fit the tried and tested standards of larger models into the smallest space possible. This is borne out by MiniSpin's unique low running noise.
Both personal centrifuges are high-performance, easy-to-operate 12-position models which have been designed especially for modern-day training and industrial research purposes. In other words, what you have here are not sensitive "beta versions", but professional personal devices that can call themselves "centrifuges" without any fear of contradiction.
In detail:
The maintenance-free drive of MiniSpin accelerates up to twelve 1.5/2.0 ml Eppendorf Tubes® to a maximum speed of 13,400 rpm (rcf: 12,100 x g) in the blink of an eye - and so quietly that you'll hardly know it's there.
With its refined black rotor, MiniSpin plus can top even that, reaching a maximum speed of 14,500 rpm (rcf: 14,000 x g). As you would expect, MiniSpin and MiniSpin plus offer typical user comfort à la Eppendorf, including automatic lid release, an easily comprehensible display for intuitive operation and a separate short-spin key for immediate reduced-time runs. In the short-spin mode of MiniSpin plus, users can choose their own speed and set the built-in timer to 99 minutes or "continuous operation".
The unique performance spectrum in this centrifuge category is a galaxy of its own: At long last, it is now possible to process samples rapidly. Routine runs, such as spin column preparations can be carried out at your own personalized workstation, with a minimum of time and effort.
MiniSpin® and MiniSpin® plus:
A new dimension and an out-of-this-world design: these new personal centrifuges are head and shoulders above the competition. In fact, they're from a different world - a world called Eppendorf.
