Description

The LVis Plate from BMG LABTECH is a perfect accessory for measuring low volume absorbance samples such as DNA, RNA, and Protein. This proprietary LVis Plate can be used on BMG LABTECH’s spectrometer-based instruments, such as the SPECTROstar Nano and the Omega series of microplate readers.

With sixteen micro-drop wells that hold two microliters, the LVis Plate is ideal for quick and easy low volume concentration measurements of DNA, RNA or protein samples. Its left- and right-handed physical support for an 8 channel pipette makes pipetting multiple samples simple for users. Furthermore, the quick clean surface easily wipes clean to prepare for future measurements.

In addition, the horizontal cuvette position on the LVis Plate can be used to read standard rectangular cuvettes for rapid, full spectrum analysis of individual samples.

The LVis Plate can also be accompanied with internal reference standards such as optical density (OD) and holmium oxide filters. These can be used to perform a quality control check of all spectrometer-based instruments to ensure correct instrument functionality.

Applications include
• Low volume nucleic acid quantification DNA and RNA
• Low volume protein quantification
• Endpoint and kinetic assays
• Absorbance Spectral scanning of low volume samples

The LVis Plate can be used with BMG LABTECH's spectrometer based microplate readers, including the SPECTROstar Nano, SPECTROstar Omega, FLUOstar Omega, and POLARstar Omega.
