The tip bevel on Low Retention tips is at such an angle that it reduces the contact surface area (where sample hang up occurs) during pipette to vessel touch off.

Independent research shows that an average pipette tip may retain as much as 3% liquid after dispensing. Even siliconised tips may retain in excess of 2%. We recognise the difference this can make to your pipetting accuracy. As a result, we have developed our range of Low Retention tips, for those situations when you cannot afford to compromise on accuracy.
